Wondering What’s Next? You’re not alone . . .

Guest Blogger, Beverly Berner, Mid-Life Coach & StrategistNextBestStep

Many of us who were born in the late 40’s, 50’s and early 60’s are gradually moving into a new (and different) phase of our lives. We are no longer at the beginning of our career and many of us find we are ready to take our best next step.

By this time most of us have enjoyed at least some degree of professional success. We have had careers and positions we really loved — and most likely a few . . . well, maybe not so much. By this age, most of the kids are grown and (hopefully) launched. It’s a whole new world out there and we are looking at it from a different vantage point. For many of us, this is the first time we have had the luxury of time and energy to really think about what that best next step will be.

Perhaps it’s time for you to think about what would make the next phase of your life rewarding, enriching, even fun! As a professional coach, I would like to encourage you to be “self-full”. Being “self-full” is not the same as being “selfish”.  When someone is selfish, it usually means someone else will suffer.  By being “self-full” you are simply allowing yourself to take a good look at the years that have passed and do some deep self-reflection on what makes you happy and fulfilled vs. what drains energy from you. Now is the time to to “take your next best step” and use that information to help you make a plan for the future.

If you would like more information about ways to be more “self-full” and discover ways to take your best next step, please visit the Act 2 website ( or contact me at 314-477-6800 or  Best wishes for taking your best next step!  ~ Bev

If you are in the business of helping people, you are most likely motivated by a passion to see others improve their life and find happiness. Whether you are therapist, social worker, life-coach, spiritual mentor, health professional, or simply a great friend or neighbor — seeing others succeed in reaching a goal or overcoming an obstacle makes your heart sing.

Starting in the Fall of 2015, will feature a weekly guest blogger whose passion and business is helping others. We’d love to feature you as a guest blogger . . .

The process is easy:

• Notify if you would like to be a guest blogger

• Select a piece of art from which resonates with you

• Write and submit your 200-350 word blog about the message YOU feel the chosen art depicts

• Remember to include your NAME, WEBSITE and CONTACT INFO at the end of your blog — we will make these links live, making it easier for someone to contact you directly

Cathy will schedule your “publish date” and will share your blog throughout the following and on social media — and we’d love for you to share your message through your own channels, with a link to!
